The CPAP Alternative

A banner with the text which would you prefer? It then displays an old clunky sleep apnea machine compared to a sleek manageable oral appliance

Did you try a CPAP and couldn’t get used to it?  You can’t tolerate it for more than a couple of hours?

Are you tired of having marks in your face from the straps or getting tangled in the tubing?

AN ORAL APPLIANCE COULD BE AN ALTERNATIVE: An oral appliance is a small retainer that fits over your upper and lower teeth (similar to a mouth guard or an orthodontic retainer). This device slightly advances the lower jaw moving the base of the tongue forward to open the airway. This improves breathing and reduces or eliminates snoring and sleep apnea.  You and your partner can finally get a good night’s sleep and wake up refreshed in the morning!

According to the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, oral appliances are indicated for patients with snoring and mild to moderate obstructive sleep apnea who prefer oral appliances to Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP). Oral Appliances are also indicated for patients who have difficulty tolerating, are non-compliant or refuse CPAP therapy.
