How is Sleep Apnea Diagnosed?
If you do not have a diagnosis and you think you may have sleep apnea, contact us, we can get you tested right away! Start by taking our Sleep Apnea Assessment Questionnaire. We will guide you to get tested, diagnosed and treated promptly.
To diagnose obstructive sleep apnea, your physician will discuss your symptoms and review your medical history. They may even ask people who live with you about your sleeping habits. A sleep study is needed to fully and accurately diagnose a sleep condition and its severity. Sleep studies can be completed at home or with a referral to a lab. A board-certified sleep physician will interpret the findings, identify the correct diagnosis and recommend appropriate treatment options.
The aim of treatment is to open the airway, restore normal breathing during sleep and to alleviate the bothersome symptoms, such as daytime fatigue and snoring. Treatment may also help lower blood pressure and decrease risks for stroke, diabetes, and heart disease. Come visit us, WE CAN HELP!
